Presque Isle
Trip back from dropping Erik off we stopped in Erie, Pennsylvania. We went to Presque Isle State Park. The people of Erie have a real gem there, I hope they appreciate it as much as we did. The wildlife, beaches, walking paths, lighthouse etc. are just a joy.
Season Opener Fort Erie Race Track
Number five Tizmatized riden by Marklee Buchanan smoked the field in the second race at Fort Erie Race Track. The season opener was a huge success. Turn out exceeded all expectations and this should be a banner year. panorama of the crowd.

Got a free Pirates hat so now I'm a Pirates fan...so sorry Blue Jays but I waited long enough. Light painting series with small penlight.
Trillium Workshop (cont.)
This years workshop proved very productive. They only last for about 2 weeks but it's well worth the wait.

The trilliums have finally bloomed on Goat Island. Here is a small selection of my shots from today. I used my Canon powershot sx50hs with 2 ND filters to mellow out the light a little.

School Yard

Ice Bridges and Rainbows
A trip to the falls yesterday yielded this panorama of the American falls complete with rainbow and the ice bridge below it.
Dave & Drakon
Photoshop CC has updated the selection tool and it's going to open up new worlds. They added a subject selection button which when pressed automatically selects the main subject. Works really well. I replaced the plain white background in this photo with a textured wood background and converted to B&W in like 2 minutes with this new feature. Original image.
